| On Sunday the 18th of December 2011 we lost a great friend, a brother, a husband, a son. Jeremy Doyle.
Jeremy Doyle was an extraordinary Individual. He was a founding member of New South Wales Wheelchair Rugby League, subsequently Wheelchair Rugby League Australia Incorporated and has been spreading the love for Wheelchair Rugby League for a long time. The world seems a little smaller because of it; Jeremy Doyle is everything that is wonderful about this organisation and our group of people. "Thank you to my beautiful Melanie, my family and all my friends for their support", he said after a scan in August showed the bladder cancer had spread. Jeremy you will be sorely missed by the world over. Everyone you met, there was a change in their life, giving everyone a different perspective, and we love you for that. Jeremy Doyle was an exceptional wheelchair basketball player. He was a member of the Australia men's national wheelchair basketball team that competed at the 2010 Wheelchair Basketball World Championship that won a gold medal. He was born on 19 November 1983. Jeremy will forever be remembered for the human being and sportsman he was. He is survived by wife Melanie. Our thoughts are with Melanie, the Doyle family and friends. Jeremy, you will be missed.
